To extend the EGO S2 Slider, press and hold the black release button with your thumb and pull the foam rubber handle section. When the handle is extended to the desired length, allow the release button to seat back into the pre-set slot to lock in handle length. "Seems like a great net but haven't put a fish in it yet. I put it in my boat for my first outing and never used it before noticing that the handle already has a chunk missing out of it. Bought some extra sleeves in another purchase and will see how it is long term before replacing it but the foam definitely isn't durable. For $145, my frabil foam that's 25 years old is now in better shape than my brand new net."
