Great Nets & Great Support

"I broke my net’s threaded tip. I ordered a new one and it came quickly and works great. Along the way I ran into a technical question which was responded to almost immediately. Everything went smooth and I’m back on the water with what I consider the best net on the market today."

Great fit

"I was very happy with the quick response and service. The replacement instructions were great and replacement of the tip was easy. I'm not sure how long it will last as having to drill into the tip obviously jeopardizes it's structural integrity. There has to be a better way to secure the tip to n the handle."

New and Improved

"I have broken 2 of these while landing fish. In the heat of the moment and lifted the first time with the handle extended and SNAP! The hoop is in the water while holding a thrashing musky. Customer service sent a replacement part right out. Flash forward. I caught a beautiful 5 lb smallmouth and didn’t extend the handle this time. With the fish in the net I lifted with the net in a vertical position…but snap! It broke again. Net floating away with the bass tangled inside. I was able to retrieve the net (and fish) again. I ordered 2 replacements on line and it appears that this part has been redesigned to be much more robust. I am heading out on the lake to start testing it out"

The small rivet you provided

"The small rivet you provided was not adequate to hold the replacement threaded tip. As the original rivet hole was not in the same place. I ended up drilling and threading the larger hole and used a set screw to hold in place. The other option would have been to drill a hole for the rivet to enter and expand!"

Screw tip replacement

"I have the longest handle. When I shoved the old piece down with the new the handle no longer functions as before. Foam section does not move in unison with net end. I was gentle with rubber mallet. But it is still my favorite net."

Apparently I need the handle

"Apparently I need the handle as well. Lol"

"Ego’s threaded tip was simple to replace and turned a nightmare into a 10 minute fix. Their customer service is second to none. Thank you ego for getting me back to fishing."

"easy replacement. glad ego makes this available instead of needing to replace the handle or complete net."

My order arrived quick and

"My order arrived quick and exactly what I needed. The part was not even 8 dollars and to be able to keep favorite net on the boat worth every cent!"

Die Cast Alloy Threaded Tip

"New tip came as expected and was easy to replace. Disappointed that this part failed in the first place. I know a machined part would be more expensive, but the trade-off in higher quality and performance should have made the decision easily."

Q&A

I want to get an extension 4 foot for my net what do I order?
We don't have extensions for handles specifically. However, we do have different handle lengths in the S1 and S2 Slider series. There is a 55" handle in the S1 series and there is the 29" to 60" and 48" to 108" in the S2 Slider series. one of these options may provide the length you are needing.
Wondering how this installed.
We will email the replacement instructions directly to you.
Ned the instructions to replace the threaded head please
The instructions will be emailed to you.
How to install this tip? Special tool required?
The instructions have been sent to your individual email.
Ordered the Die Cast Alloy threaded tip for a replacement part. The old part broke and is stuck in the handle. I am hoping for some directions on how to replace the part.
Replacement instructions have been emailed to you.
best way to remove is broken in half and need to remove the insert in handle rivet has been drilled out but broken half insert will not budge
In this case the best thing to do is punch the part down lower in the handle making room for the new threaded tip.
Once the new threaded tip is seated in the shaft do I need to drill the new seated tip to install the rivet ? The hole that lines up with the hole in threaded tip seems big for the supplied rivet
A new hole will need to be drilled in the threaded tip on the underside of the handle where the old rivet was seated. The hole size should be approx. 3 mm.
Can I buy these parts in Australia
These parts are only available directly from us but we do ship all over the world.
What size is the rivet?
The rivet has a 3mm diameter.
The handle as a crack where the parts is broke. Can i cut the handle a little do a new hole for the rivet and put the new parts in it?
The handle can be cut but understand that if it is modified then when closing it the outer sleeve will not seat all the way flush with the grip area.
